    Hello,
This dresser was given to me by my parents and they do not remember what they paid for it or where they got it. I've had it for about 5 years. We are now expecting our second child and need to convert the room it is in to a nursery and do not have room for this beautiful piece any longer. I would like help deciding how much I should ask for it. Thank you in advance.

I'm working on getting the photos uploaded. Says file size is too large.

I opened the pictures in "paint" program and just resized to 35%, then save and upload

Here are some photos. The only markings I could find were on the back and they say:

It is in excellent shape. My father thinks it's from 1910 or so...

    Thank you.

Id say dad is spot on date wise . Brown furniture is going begging at the moment, here in n. fla you'd be lucky to get $75-100 for it. If I may ask,why dont you want to keep it? Youll not get that quality in this day and age,and if you could find it,it'd be a fortune. Whats written on the metal tags ?

Thanks for the reply. The metal tag appears to say EA 39030 and the other little round tag says...

    J 1728
    H L.

Only reason I want to get rid of it is I don't have a place for it. Converting the room to a nursery for my son due the end of July. I don't want to put it in a corner in my garage and have it get banged up or damp or something. We live in the state of Washington by the way.

The mirror can be taken off.

It would make a great changing table. You could cut a piece of plexie glass to fit, in order to protect the top, maybe use a few of those little round velcro circles to anchor it. Make or buy a small pad that could be washed and place on top of the plexie glass.

you'll need something to put the kids ...diapers....one-zees , clothes you pick...clothes they pick .....& then when they are off to university....you can rummage thru it and throw out some of their best teen aged stuff.... !

A piece like this....can stay in a family a long time..

It's so sweet and well made...

that said.......if you find room for it ......yeah baby !!!
if you wish to sell it......get good money and it will find a home somewhere....

    imho........

Agree with Johnny and your dad. Don't think the drawer pulls are original. They are more appropriate for an Eastlake dresser circa 1880.

But they match the round design under the mirror.
