Marks on rifle parts?

Where from? What type?

 

Is the top picture of a sight calibrated in 100s of yards?

 

the trigger assembly looks to be a version of the Mauser 98.....but they were made by several countries , & while I suspect german...I can't pin it down...

The sight is marked 1-20 with ni indication of yards or meters. The bottom is shown. The top scale is in a different location. I can't see how it could be reversible.

Huge numbers of the Mauser 98 were sold as war surplus and converted as American hunting rifles. I suspect your parts were discards from such a conversion.

I'm not 100%.....but it makes sense that your parts would be from the same rifle....& U no google.....I always question their attributions until I can find a consensus ..!
That said.....u should likely be able to ferret out the other pieces..

 

As I recall the Weimar stick-eagle indicates 1940 or prior. Most of those Weimar eagle marks are those of various in-plant inspectors, each had his own number. The 655 with stick-eagle indicates manufacture at the Mauser Works in Oberndorf. The sight looks like one for a 98K rifle. I'm not 100% sure of all above info but it might help somehow.

 

What you call a stick eagle.....I call a Focker Tri-plane......which led me straight to Germany. Bahhahaha!!!!!!!
