Got another mystery

  1. Hi Yall
Hope that someone can help me with a pottery mark. I've got this little crock that I use to keep kitchen utensils in and years ago I noticed the mark, but I've never been able to find anything about it. Well, my curiosity was peeked again tonight when I looked at it, and I thought, HEY! I know of a place now that might
can help me figure this out.
So here it is gals and guys, Anyone ever seen this mark before? The crock is 7 inches tall and heavy for it's size.
Thanks for taking a look at it!

That is really pretty! It looks somewhat contemporary. I have a pot in my garden and it looks very similar but obviously mine's much larger. I use it to plant annuals during the summer. I will look at it later today (too cold right now) and see if it has a mark. If it's contemporary, it might be hard to determine who did it.

Here's the link to the Art Pottery Marks that some kind person has put together. You may find it here.

Yes, agree that this is newer. A studio piece. Those can be hard to ID, esp. with just symbol for a signature.

Is that a spigot knock out next to the symbol?

There is a group on Facebook called Studio Pottery Identification you might want to join. They are pretty good at identifying the maker/studio.
