I know these are not antique, but I am trying to determine an age. I have not been able to find another set like these. I have used the words tilt and swing to search but so far no luck. They have eagle burners. Measure 17" tall and 6" wide. Looking for any information on these. Thanks

    Hi,
They look to be fairly recent but you do have a pair which is nice.

Yes, not old but nice and probably for use aboard a boat or ship...NOT a vehicle...
Not smart to do that. :p

Those mounts on the bottom lead me to think these were actually meant to be used in a moving object. Those are quite nice.

I have a similar thing, but originals, made for a pullman car around to the turn of the century if not a bit earlier. They're meant to be wall-mounted and to wiggle so the oil can't spill. They'd be perfect for use in any California home, or anywhere near a place they're fracking. This sort of thing is handy for power outages too.

Evelyb, I was just going to say that! (Well, not exactly the "wiggle" part, but the wall-mounted/moving thing!)

I'd leave the oil out if there are jumping kittens around. That sort of swinging shiny whatsit is a cat toy. Just ask the car.

Well, King, I did indeed read the whole thing, but the way I read it, I thought that evelyb was the first to mention that it hung on a wall...

I just wondered in general, wasn't directed at you. :)
It's why I asked it in the general reply bottom box and didn't reply to your individual comment. :)

A continual source of confusion are the two reply options. At least for me. :)

I generally just copy & paste the statement to which I'm replying, italicize it & shrink the type size so it "looks" different than my reply. I usually add the poster's name in my reply, as well.

I know it's not how the site designers set things up, but it works for me!
