Is this a military cloth badge>

Hi all,

Can someone tell me if this is a military cloth badge or civilian and what the SPA relates to please?

I have searched through google images and ebay and can't find another like it to identify it. It measures approx 3 & 3/4 inches across.

Hi, laughing here, as soon as I read school blazer I thought of course it is and im looking on google images for vintage school blazer badge and they nearly all look like this style. I have tried to read the motto but it is just not quite readable, it is latin but i can't say what it is.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction though, very appreciated.

 

S. P. Academy? I did a quick search for school crests, but don't have time to do thorough research - I'm supposed to be working. (eye rolls).

Thank you for taking the time on this one, you are a far better detective than I am thats for sure. I have looked into it and I believe you are 100% correct, it is an old school blazer badge from Capsmount School, which makes sense really becasue it isn't too far (20 miles) away from where I live and this was in a joblot at a local auction.

That's another mystery object identified by you good people on here and for that I thank you again......... I will have to put another mystery object on soon then to test your skills of knowledge and research
