Prayer Rug?

Found this rug about 2 weeks ago and have tried doing research without much luck. Measures approx 20" x 32" not including fringe. Does have a few spots of wear, but the colors are still nice and bright. Would appreciate any info such as age, origin and purpose. Thanks,

Well, as I've been told here, prayer rugs have to have all kinds of religious symbols on them...

 

Not a prayer rug - at least not like any I have seen. Normally, a prayer rug would have a design including one end that "points" in the direction of Mecca.

Also does not look like a hand knotted rug. Have you shown us a picture of the underside?

 

I kept searching for something similar that is why when I couldn't though size wise.. Might be a prayer rug. Thanks.. both for the information.
