Featured Old ball of what?

    Not sure where to post this, but I believe it's old, so here I go:

    This thing has a vitreous, glassy quality to it.

    I always wondered if it wasn't some kind of gather of milk glass (to be used as a marble??), but it's too "dirty" looking - not a bad thing - meaning more natural or formed by nature.

    It is cool to the touch and a pretty good size.

    We call them "Lucky Stones" - the Sheephead in Lake Erie have them. They are actually an "Earbone" and get bigger as the fish grow.

    It came along with this, partly why i wondered if it was some kind of primitive playing stone. But I doubt it.

    Seems to have formed under high heat+pressure+time. Accidentally or intentionally, I have no idea.
