    Hello all,
I am new here and wanted to know if anyone has any idea of who the maker is and era of the below piece.
It was given to me and my late husband for a wedding present by a lady who had a huuuge house crammed with antiques but I have no idea about its value or identity.
It is a bowl/dish and measures 26cm diameter and 5cm tall.
The underneath is stamped with "GUARANTEED LEAD FREE GLAZE" and that's all.
    Thanks so much
    Red

That stamp would be a rather new thing. No older than the '70s.

    Hi,
I do not think it is older than the 1960s when they started to think lead glazes were a problem. JMHO.

You're most welcome. I like spongeware - it looks very stylish in its simplicity. I'd think yours is Fife made, given that it's almost identical to the one in that link.
