IMG_2314.JPG Wondering if any of you kind folks could help me identify a piece that is important to my family history. I found this in a box of treasured jewelry items and pocket knives.

I didn't know anyone in my family had attended the United States Naval Academy. I'm guessing it's 1909. The clasp on the stickpin has tiny marks about a patent received on it (the clasp) Aug.17.09.

Anyone have any additional information on it?

It's a great idea! The seal for the Class of 1909 does match the item I have very well. But, I didn't recognize any names in the yearbook, so the mystery goes on!

    I'd flip if I found that. :)

Hmmm. Is there any chance that an old "suitor" might have given it to great-grandma?
