I have one of those classic bud vases with a bulbous bottom. My mother had several of these in different colors - blue, pink & clear. They all had the same gold stripes and edge. This is the first time I've seen one with frosted bottom and hand painted flower. Is it a new repro or 1950s?

Bev, can only say that 1950s/60s would be likely because they liked multi-coloured sets -- tea cups and saucers in "harlequin" sets -- I've got a few liqueur glasses that are a "set" but different colours. All 1950s/60s.

I just realized the water droplets on the bottom didn't get dried off. Those aren't bubbles in the glass! I picked it up at the 'gift house' at the dump and washed it. I do love scrounging at the dump.

    I didn't think that they were bubbles -- didn't even notice! :)

Well, I'm not going scrounging in the dump, but I may try to hit a thrift that's open on Sundays -- I'm running out of reading material! First time in ages for me. I hope I don't come home with something other than a book -- I'll have to hide it from DH!

In another thread you said that you added these photos with the Insert link? Is that the little flag icon?
