EAPG oil lamp - collar question

I recently picked up the little finger lamp below with an Eagle burner. I found the identical lamp only on the rubylane site, but that one has an outside collar vs the one I have which has an inside collar.

Always wanting to learn new things, I was wondering if any lamp collectors out there could tell me what the significance is, if any in the use of 2 different collar type.

I have not been able to locate an answer to this question online. Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Thanks

the newer one could be a replacement.

I thought the outside pressed on collar lamps are older. Better wait for an expert to come along though.
