Bought this guy today at a yard sale..

As the "story" goes the man I bought it from bought it from another elderly man who's grandfather built it..

I want to give it age, but the nails are throwing me.

Sorry the only overall picture I have is full of stuff... it was all my morning finds :D
    What say yall on age?

I don't see anything wrong with the date and I'll tell you why, so assuming that the man at the yard sale was about 50 and he bought it about 20 years ago and the elderly man he bought it from was 75 and his father was 22 when he was born and his grandfather was 20 when his father was born and his grandfather made it when he was 40... Computing... That would date the bench about 102 year old which would be 1915; In 1915 they had round nails with round heads, also the nails could have been replaced, the nails also might look newer than they are because someone may have sanded it and removed the iron's patina.

Yeah, the wood has a nice patina to it..
I just wasnt ready to call it primitive.

Its sturdy as you could ever need it to be
