    Hi,

I’m helping my parents clean out their basement and we are finding some antique items. We have found postings of a couple of the items but don’t know what their actual value is. My mom is speculating the lamps are close to 100 years old, but we don’t know about the bucket or tea pot set. Can anyone give us an idea about these items?

    Thanks!

I don't see much value or age in the lamps (which look mid 20th century to me) or tea set. The tea set looks to me to be 100 to 1 it is silver-plate; but pics can be deceiving so you need to check carefully to make sure it isn't sterling since it would have substantial value if it is. Post pics of the marks underneath the items if you can't tell.

I like the copper bucket, and that may have more age to it. (That said, there is a lot of copper/brass being handmade in India/Middle east/North africa even today so age can be hard to judge without more decoration). Anyway, worth posting pics of that also - including the decorative handle and underneath and inside and closeup of base where it looks like it has been joined.

    Greetings, Joey!

Although you will get some feedback on these items in this thread, you would be more like to get attention to them if you post them in separate threads in the corresponding "category Forums" here. The lamps on Pottery,Porcelain & Glass Forum or Furniture Forum, the tea pots in either Metalware or Silver Forum and the "bucket?" also in Metalware. Be sure to provide measurements and pictures of the undersides of each item, closeups of construction and decorative details and of any markings that you find.
