Hey thanks a lot at komokwa. thank you very much for the info. i Just send the images to sothby's. one of their department guys stated that it could probably be an 19th century ottoman era gun. normally they do not provide any info at all. But i think this time they provided. But not the price estimates.

This is the image to which I referred. There ought to be a nice image of something and it's just a lot of squiggles - as if they did a really bad mold of a genuine piece. I've never seen anything like this. 20170217_174040.jpg

This is the part of the gun you need to pay close attention to. The actual operating mechanism. These photos are of my uncle's old long gun from either Turkey or Syria. He collected it when he was overseas in WWII IMG_3411 (800x442).jpg IMG_3414 (800x380).jpg .

Hey komokwa, as what i can see. i think the mechanism is the same. But due to the age and corrosion it is being kind of stuck. what do you guys think?

Sorry , but although similar I believe the mechanism is a non functional adornment.
That's from what I can see.

Is it possible that it's a Khyber Pass tourist reproduction? Essentially, lock plate is original but the rest is made in a shop. Generally unsafe to shoot but sold to tourists and often sent home.
