Chinese scroll

    Hi there,
    I am new to this forum and I am trying to help my dad identify a scroll he recently acquired in Helena Montana. It appears to be Chinese in origin and is in good shape.
    Based on the attached photos, would anyone know who made this or any info about it?

    Dimensions are as follows: Total size is 58.5" (148.59cm) x 16.5" (41.91cm)

    The ink and color on paper painting size is 27.25" (69.22cm) x 13.125" (33.34cm)

    The second images the wood lacquered jikusaki showing defined crazing (aging) of lacquer. Showing age -- Pre-1940's, Maybe 19th century.

    Third image is a close up of the grasshopper on a calabash gourd.

    Thanks for posting photos of the whole thing. I can't read the language but I hope that somebody will drop by who can help with the picture.
