Ha Ha komokwa! I love your sense of humor. He must have said "psychological price" because the price he wanted to pay was a figment of his imagination, lol.

Speaking of the devil he just emailed me again and said "Do we have a deal?" "I will pay you cash money now" in broken English. He asked three times yesterday if I would take $150 and I said no. Then he just asked to buy 3 more things from me at half price and wanted me to ship them to China with free shipping. Geesh. Too bad I can't block this guy, lol.

Again, I love your comments. Your sense of humor is awesome. I could report him, but Etsy doesn't usually bother doing anything about it. I just stopped replying to him. Maybe he will go away and get the hint. He really is a persistent fellow though.

This guy must be a used car salesman in China. He just keeps trying to make a deal. P.S. I miss the old man from that show. I heard he died :(

Ever since Covid19, for some reason everyone and their sister's @ss keeps coming out of the woodwork asking me for discounts. I think they all think antique dealers are desperate to sell their items and are broke now. I rather keep my antiques I'm selling in my own collection, than give them away for pennies on the dollar.

I never had this problem until Covid19 happened. I'm not going to lie, but once in a while I occasionally ask a dealer for a discount. If they say no, I never ask again, but some of these people are downright nervy.

    You should.
It sounds like the same thing Marie was going through.
Appears the spammers are starting to attack the on line selling platforms.

Hi clutteredcloset49. I didn't think of that. I will definitely report him then.

Explain the offer and use "repeated harassment" after you declined the offer.

I had a Polish guy from London message me about an item I had up for auction last week.

I started it at £0.99 and it already had one bid.

The guy was asking for a Buy it Now price.

I told him it was auction only and had bids.

He began to get mildly abusive and slagging off my shippings costs.

He was also selling items and had his address & phone number on his listing.

I told him to stop messaging me and go away otherwise I would report him to eBay for harrassment.

He messaged again with more abuse at 04.40am.

I called him and said I was coming to London very soon and I would call in and rearrange his facial features.

    The messages ceased :hilarious:

    My item sold for £77:hilarious:

Hi daveydempsey. Oh God. Sounds like that guy is every seller's nightmare. Glad you called him up and gave him the business. I like your style ;). Sounds like he wanted you to add a buy it now because he was afraid others would bid up the price and that cheapo wanted it for less. He sounds like such a creep. I'm glad you got a good price for your item :joyful:

You can't block buyers on Etsy? I have thought of giving selling a try there but I'm not sure I like that, I have to do more research.

The crazies are everywhere, I've had my share at the local flea market also. My favorite was a man who wanted to buy something priced $25. He pulled out a $10 bill and a $100 bill and sadly said that was all he had. I smiled my best smile and said "No problem, I can change the $100!".

Got him, he paid $25

I sell a little online. While sales have not been down, the number of return requests are going up. In the past week, I've had three return requests, when I usually get one a year. Buyer's remorse is running rampant as the economy gets more uncertain, I suppose. One decided he'd rather have a partial refund and keep the item, one made up a flaw in order to be able to return, and the other disappeared into the woodwork.

I had one guy return an expensive belt buckle; the excuse he gave was a flaw mentioned in the listing. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and ate the return and resold with the flaw more prominently mentioned. It went for half what it did the first time, darnitt, but to a very happy buyer. On the upside I only had $5 in it in the first place.

Aagggh! I hate when it sells for less after a return! Bad feeling.
