An Official Hello

    I stumbled onto this site a few days ago, when I was scouring the internet for solutions regarding a “stain” on a red coral pendant.

    I made an account, posted a thread, and before I knew it, I had lots of wise people responding to my question. One of whom helped me discover that this deceptive “stain” was actually just calcium buildup!

    Anyways, since everyone was so friendly, and the other threads on the site were so interesting, I’ve decided to join in on the fun.

    My name is Lola, I turn 20 in a month, I love antiques, but since I am a very poor college (uni) student, I haven't had a chance to make much of this affection yet.

    I am a pretty major collector tho.
    I specifically collect books and strangers’ old family photographs.

    The second one usually gets a response out of ppl, and I find that I end up really liking those who respond well to my unconventional hobby.

    I hope to get to know all of you a little as well!

    Careful though, Antiquers is highly addictive.
    We also have a funnies thread, nice when you need a laugh. And 'A Thing of Beauty' thread, which anyone can contribute to with photos of beautiful art, flowers, situations etc, so we can all find solace in beauty in these troubled times.
