    I love your photo SBSVC!
I picked up a few goodies today - my favourite is the mini bible and it still has the little magnifying glass with it, Tallest Man On Earth souvenir ring and this bowl with the design on the bottom - seems a shame to not see the design. Not sure where it is from.

Are you sure the "bowl" isn't a cap/top for a flagon or water carafe sort of thing? If you can decipher the design around the sides, that might be a clue to "right side up".

Thanks Mansons! Sorry, I should have listed the size, it is about 9" wide x 5"H. I thought maybe the design around the side was characters or letters of some sort
    lol terry!

Yeah, that would be one honking carafe! Possibly the cap for an urn or matching jar? It's niggling at the back of my brain, and if I get a breakthrough I'll post it here...................

I have three of those bowls. They were originally silver plate over brass and they come from India, British Colonial period. Mine are around 1860s from the family history I know of them - I suspect yours is the same age.

Ford taught me in 1971 when my nothing but Chevy friend lost his marbles and bought new, one of the first gen Suck 1 (Mach 1) Mudskanks. (Mustangs) ;)

It took two guys, us, and we're car guys, over TWO HOURS to change the spark plugs!!!!!! Couldn't get around all the crap in their way under that hood and we had all the tools you could possibly need.
That was it for me. I made my decision right then that if Ford didn't want me to work on their cars..... I wouldn't...ever.

He didn't keep it long and so I still have the brand new honeycomb hood scoop inlet fillers. He wanted me to machine them out to leave the honeycomb structure intact but he sold the car before I did that! Those are NOS now. :)

you found some great items charlie!

thanks bear! Looks like someone has kept this polished over the years so I can see that plating would disappear. It has several thin cracks in the bowl but you can't see them when it is hung up, it is a lovely piece and looks great on my wall.

It's like a co cart the bar in the middle goes back and forward and the seat moves back and forward has if you was rowing ,

It's name after the carts they used to use on the railways ,

Picture laurel and Hardy doing it in one of there films its the same principle ,

Bet the kid hate going up hill .
