    Hi,
I have this decanter, hallmarks are JTH/JHM (Heath and Middleton) for Hukin & Heath London 1906. Missing the correct stopper, stands 8 3/4"H to the top of the neck. Would this be for wine or does it really matter?
I read of the connection of Dresser and the company and that they produced his designs until the early 1900s - could this be a Dresser piece?
    Any information appreciated
    thanks for looking

Too short for alcohol. More likely to be for perhaps oil or vinegar from a cruet set. or more likely cologne. I doubt it's Dresser: his designs are far more modernist and you do't get things like that star cut base.

Thanks komokwa! I agree, it is simple and elegant.
Thanks bear! Too bad I only have one, this would be a fabulous oil and vinegar set:)

The more I look, the more I think cologne. Which is what I'd use it for, anyhow. Nice thing.
