Most likely if he was there he would have been across the river eating at Tony Packo's which is an actual restaurant in Toledo & they serve the most wonderful Hungarian hotdog you will ever eat.

i have sat on the grass and waited for the bus many days there. main st sky train station is now across the street .

Most likely the women are professional models. There are lots of these kinds of commercially published real photo postcards. The ones where the subjects are known or famous people are identified with their names. I love these types of cards, and really like this one a lot.

 

I have a particular interest in Native American carvers from Metlakatla Alaska, 1875-1950. Here's a couple postcards of Casper Mather. He wasn't very good in terms of traditional forms, but was of some importance in the history of that area.

 

Let's say , he had a style all his own......and...it also helps to date some other works of the period , where good carvers did not always have the formline use of the old masters.
