A member who can translate Russian. The blue indicates that she has been 'tagged', alerted.
But April has done a perfect job, as always. I didn't know you were around, @April07 or I would have tagged you too.:)

The woods are lovely, dark, and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I had never heard of that word -- Looked it up, and it's often spelled xylography in English. Considered a rare word in English: "the art of making woodcuts or wood engravings, especially by a relatively primitive technique." That's the definition that Google gave me.

And, waving "hello" to @April07 !

    Hello, @Figtree3! :cat:
In the USSR, xylography was really popular, promoted by such important art theorist and artist as Vladimir Favorsky in the 1930s-1960s. They used a bit different technique that is called in Russian tortsovaya graviura - can't find an equivalent in English, but it's when in the process of preparation of the board, the wood is cut not along its natural lines as in traditional xylography, but across them, and then the small parts are merged together, making the board more lightweight and resistant, and, therefore, able to accommodate more details.
