Leather bag but who is able to tell me more about it?

Older leather shoulder bag with gold inscription . who is able to maybe tell more about it ? thanks

 

Google says that there used to be a department in London with the name D.H.Evans. Think it could have been sold here?

Wrong Evans, davey. The ones you're thinking of sell clothes for larger ladies. D H Evans was a mid to high end department store on Oxford Street and there was only one of it. Sort of - they did a copy in Wood Green which did not do well.

It's House of Fraser now. I think that bag is probably late 60s/early 70s from the embossing, stitching and lining. And yes, made for them. Not cheap.
