    Dear friends
I would like your help to identify this ancient wooden box. I think it could be a tobacco box used by sailors. The box is built with only two hand-carved pieces. Above the box there is a printed map. The hinge seem to have been replaced. Those currently visible are more modern and smaller than the available space.
    What do you think?
    Thanks again

I agree, an older Spanish souvenir, could be 1960s, but not antique.
Not a jewellery box, like so many others, but given the specific shape it would have held an oval box with sweets or something like that.
