Baseball Uniform

I bought a vintage baseball uniform in a large shadow box for my son's room at auction about a year ago. It didn't work out so I'm about to put it up for auction again.

I had to take the shadow box apart to reinforce the glass and while I had the uniform out I took a look at the back of it by unbuttoning the shirt

There is no number but there is the word coffee cup stitched into it.

Any ideas on what this is, who would have worn it, etc

Yes if they came with it...but even so...may not be correct to the uniform.

If it was a cup of coffee player would coffee cup be stitched in the back?

 

All I can find is that it's a 1950's era uni, from no particular team.....

 

How about closeups of the photos? That's where the real information lies.
