Wow. That's like a brand new pan.

 

It is already doing well on eBay. It already has 9 bids & 24 watchers with 5 days & 6 hours to go.

Not bad for a zero cash outlay & a couple hours of scrubbing.

 

Fed up of the lockdown now here in Scotland. I bought a beauty of a piece of Chrisbka czech glass, a lips shaped bowl in green by Josef Hospodska for £8 off the bay but it arrived smashed. Also bought an Alfred Meakin coffee set described as perfect but one of the cups is chipped on the handle. I want the auction houses open again!

 

One more reason I've all but given up selling fragile items on FeeBay. The US postal system isn't always too kind, and it sounds like the Royal Mail isn't any better.

 

I suppose I should add a few pictures of a few nice trinkets I found.

A nice brooch. Pewter and I suspect Azurite malachite but may be enamel, don't know how to check but will find out. I just buy stuff I like and I rarely buy jewellery, very hit and miss. I think it is a lovely thing whatever.

Annoyed my loupe is elsewhere and I can't have a proper look at this.

 

The Royal fail isn't too bad, this was Hermes courier. I worked for them for a while and watched the lads handballing packages into a 40ft trailer. They stand at the open door and throw packages one by one to the other end to land behind a wall of packages they build. They do this until things slide then build another closer wall and repeat. Once witnessed them throwing them against the trailer wall at the very end and laughing at the ones that made breaking noises. Pay peanuts, get monkeys.

I know someone who has shipped literally hundreds of pieces of Whitefriars all over the UK and elsewhere. Not one single breakage. I blame the packing.

That spoon is amazing, what a thrill it must have been to set eyes on it back in the day after ordering from a line drawn advertisment that could never do it justice.

 

At last I have something new to post ! I went to several Ill Wills yesterday ,I just HAD to , fully masked and gloved and they were limiting the amount of people allowed in (one in,one out) . Anyhoo,I found this little silver sugar bowl and the only reason I knew the cat mark was Egyptian was because of this board ! A whopping $2 . I could have bought lots of pretties,there were a ton ,but Im trying to mend my ways . Somewhat .
