    Hi

I've pulled out just a few pieces from a large collection of jewellery, mostly costume. I'm well aware that much of it might just be trash, so hopefully this will help me determine what to keep and what to dispose of :) Any info on these pieces indivdually is appreciated!

#1 Vintage Silver Necklace & Locket
Hallmarked .925, locket has a red coloured stone

    #2 Costume Necklace & Pendant
Stones set on silver coloured metal with bluestones feature on pendant

    # Costume Necklace
The maroon coloured 'stones' are plastic, the rest are glass

#4 Silver Necklace and glass/stone pendant
Quite a weighty silver coloured metal and mixture of metal & glass pendant

#5 Vintage gold coloured costume broach
Inscribed 'A1276' with black plastic stone

    #6 Vintage costume broach
Inscribed 'Miracle' with black & white stone

    #7 Vintage broach
No Marks with glass (?) stones and blue stones in eyes

    # 6 is onyx or glass mimicking onyx.

The little deer looks about the oldest of the lot. The banded pin looks like glass trying to be onyx. The pink one and the one with the square pendant are both brand new. I can't see the other necklaces all that well, but they don't look old either. The reflective surface isn't helping, and we could use a good look at the clasps and backs of the pendants; that's often what gives the age away.

#1 looks like an older locket. Might be glass, might be garnet. I don't think the chain is original to it.

Oh and thank you for numbering your pieces. Makes it so much easier to reply.

Those agate brooches are 1960s or 70s, as is the little fawn. Other than the locket and the diamante with blue, the rest look very new. Number 2 is probably 1980s, I've a few of those.

I don't think the locket is old either; it looks like sterling and garnet. The oval pin may be signed but I can't read it from here. The deer looks like a piece of Gerry's or maybe Coro.

I believe you said #6 is marked 'Miracle'. This is a English company based in Birmingham UK. They make reproduction Scottish agate jewelry. Some folks collect their stuff. Opened in 1946, still in operation.

The OP is British, they used a 2p coin (about the size of a quarter)as a size comparison. Miracle Celtic style stuff does do quite well, or did a few years ago anyway.

Occasionally they used natural stones but most of their stuff use glass stones. OP's is glass.

In future you might put a piece of plain, white cloth down and photograph your pieces on that. Those backgrounds make it hard to see.
