Featured Vintage Daisy and Button glass shoe is it a Fenton or a Mosser?

Hello, I am new to this forum and I was wondering if someone could answer a question for me. I have a vintage Daisy and Button glass shoe that belonged to my mother. She doesn't know the shoe manufacturer. I've done a little research online but found the shoe listed as Mosser or Fenton. Would someone be able to answer this question or get me going in the right direction?

This is a Fenton website with some of the Fenton Catalogs. Your shoe doesn't have a mark. Fenton started marking their glass in the early 70's, I think it was 1972. Fenton made a few different styles of the shoe too. I did a quick search here and did not see this shape but you might see something with a closer look through the catalogs.

This area is for striking a match - So your shoe was originally a match holder.
I don't think the Fenton shoes have the match strike area.
Daisy and button shoes were made by several companies.
Kemple bought older molds and remade them, so it's even possible this is a remake of an old mold.

Welcome LMarie - not Fenton. It's not a color Fenton produced if it has the slight lime tone or iridescence that is showing on my monitor. There is a tendency for sellers to list any shoes like this as Fenton in order to help them sell.

I recently got a book and catalog from Boyds glass. They made the slippers with cats and several others but I'm not sure about this one. I will check when I get home tonight.

Degenhart called these Kat Slippers. They are shown in Gene Florence's Degenhart Glass book but I don't believe the Degenhart version has the striker. Can't tell for sure because Florence only shows them in profile.

I don’t know how to insert a photo here but I have one like that is clear iridescent and it has an “S” on the bottom. I have determined that it was manufactured by L E Smith.
