zcamera-20170131_141624.jpg I'll check that out too. On my adventures through boxes I found a bunch of these...little hair clippings wrapped in everything from wax paper to handkerchiefs to newspaper.

I just found a brooch on EBay that is exact. Only difference being that this has the loop at top.

Hair clippings - usually from a child's first haircut, weepy momma wrapped them up as keepsakes - and promptly forgot all about them - and it is now up to someone completely unrelated to the procedure to figure out what to do with the precious memories.............................

Or, more interestingly, they could be locks clipped from the deceased in the coffin before they nailed it shut - and it is now up to someone completely unrelated to the procedure to figure out what to do with the precious memories.............................

My great-grand Aunt Ethel had a bible SO FULL of hair clipping that the binding was broken............I often wondered if she ran the streets at night just clipping snippets from passed out drunks snoozing in doorways and startled lovers necking on a park bench..........................she was a "maiden" lady, with no children (and no interest in men), so I still can't figure where she got all of those fuzzies.................

I'm not too krrn on the hair clippings or box of teeth I found either. I think I'll just put those in a box out of the way.

I was thinking out of the house. I have this little 2 story playhouse that is my shed. I think my dead relatives can go play over there. :)

The gold's worth money, the silver not as much.

Melt 'em, Dan'o! Dental gold scraps quite nicely. As for the hair...I hate to say it, but it would make good compost.

Or, put the hair outside in the early spring, for birds making their nests...
