I just got two signed Dickinson and Foster prints(litho?) l. Both are signed and I am wondering if anyone might know how to figure out what the signature represents and if they were commonly signed? One of these has two signatures. Tried finding something similar online with no luck.

    Thanks in advance.

Working back from the motto and crest, I found this site, which from the 2 small photos at the beginning appear to be buildings much like the ones in your prints.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stonyhurst_College

The script signature looks like William J Allingham. Google showed plenty of works he did that copied other artists works, but not anything like your "old school" prints.

The one with the boys around the flag is called "Cheering the Flag" and was in fact done by W J Allingham as a colored etching originally. I could only find it as a modern repro print, although Getty Images also had one (surrounded by ads none of us care to see.)

How yours relates, I can't tell, although I would imagine that Stonyhurst might offer things like this at the bookstore.

The first image seems to be the Great Gate, Trinity College, Cambridge

I think they're probably both original prints, and likely date around the same time.
