I have this large topaz? Pendant marked sterling. It is fabric backed and I can't figure out why or what that means. I added jump ring and chain so it can hang.
These clip earrings say channel but as I can't find this style I'm wondering if they are fake zcamera-20170130_094150.jpg zcamera-20170130_094210.jpg zcamera-20170130_094418.jpg zcamera-20170130_094915.jpg zcamera-20170130_094840.jpg zcamera-20170130_094754.jpg

If 'Edit' is still showing at the bottom left of your post you can go there.
Then put your cursor at the bottom right of your last photo and back click til they are gone. :) :)

Do the earrings have the Chanel logo as well as being marked "Chanel"? The logo is where counterfeiters usually mess up....................a good clear picture would help, but I realize that you do not have perfect sight. My off the cuff opinion is that they are NOT authentic, but .............................

I'll keep working on pics. There's no logo that I can find ( that means there still could be.) I'm struggling a bit here. LED, loupes, magnifiers and even binoculars. Seems I only get a headache... Lol

Does the fabric smell of perfume?
Wonder if it was added to be a sachet?

Earring style is 1970ish. Were they faking Chanel then?

No the fabric doesn't have a scent that I can detect. Its pretty tucked into the setting. Look like old linen. It has large fibers and is yellowed.

The fabric could have been added because the pendant was scratching or catching on someone's clothes. That's my best guess.

I supect the pendant was a mourning or keepsake piece. A little bit of glass or clear stuff missing.

Actually, odds are it's 1930s Czech glass, a bit late for mourning jewelry. That amber colored glass was everywhere for a while just before WWII. The setting is dead on for 30s, and so are the facets in the glass.
