Hello, got this at auction yesterday in a lot. No clue what it is from. Any ideas what this is. It clearly attaches to something, but what I have no idea.

It reminds me of the cups my brothers used with their hockey uniforms. Is it possibly something along that line? Or possibly knee protectors.

I also thought about it being a protector of region, but yea the holes on the side i dunno. Not unless a rope or tie went through the holes to secure in place. Will be interesting if it is that.

Well this might be a timely find. A cast iron athletic protector could be useful these days and it is made in the USA. Mr. Trump will love it.

Whoops, wrong bridle. I noticed a small hook/catch inside and possible something missing opposite that. It does look similar to some of the vintage rossettes I found online. KingofThings, you have me laughing again. Thanks for that!

It says US but that doesn't make it military. Looks like a part off some kind of vehicle.
