As odd as it sounds, there are a LOT of people here who LOVE spoons, ADORE spoons, WORSHIP spoons - they just eat them up! ...............so Welcome to probably the place around to get your spoon identified, unreadable marks not withstanding!!!!!!!!!!!

Tiny spoons (much smaller than teaspoons) are usually salt spoons.

  11. That is very very intresting. Would that be considered a dash? Like when they say a dash of salt? And i wonder if they used the whole spoon on one plate food :/ lol

Judging from the one picture you have posted, I think you have a souvenir demitasse spoon.
Is the bowl of the spoon round or tear drop shape?
    How long is it?

    Delft souvenir mustard spoon.
    Made in Holland
    Silverplate.
Popular in the 50s-80s. That is only a guess for time period.
New souvenir spoons are mostly pewter, not many silverplate. I think mid 80s is when I purchased my first pewter spoon.

  16. It is awesome you guys know all this stuff! So what is pewter? What do you guys collect? Im probably going to pass this doen to my kids but if i were to sell this or other items how do i come up with a worth or price for them? Is there like a kelly blue book for collectables?

The value is whatever you can get in the marketplace. ebay is flooded with similar. Most go unbid at $0.99.

For run of the mill types like this the market has collapsed. Many of the old spoon collectors have passed, and their collections are now flooding the market. I don't see a lot of chance of today's kids becoming collectors. I'd be happy to get a buck a piece on similar spoons at a flea market.

I know this spoon has already been IDed, but thought I'd add that I bought a similar souvenir spoon in Amsterdam in 1964. It also is 3" long with the same bowl and very very similar handle. The finials are different. Mine has a tiny pair of delft clog shoes. It is silver with the Dutch sword hallmark and a maker's mark. I don't know if the silver purity is .835 or .925 for can't read the number on the tiny sword hallmark.

I heartily agree. Seems like the last 30 to 40 years typical souvenir spoons like these are now silvertone with no actual silver content or may be pewter. Once in awhile one might luck into a silverplate one. As yours is definitely not silver because it lacks an official hallmark, I suspect it may be just silvertone or pewter.
