Hello everyone! I'm looking for help identifying these vintage earrings. I've exhausted all websites possible before coming to all of you. Thanks for any help! What I can see is 14k585 with an Open clam shell at the base of the gold attached to the pearl. On the lever part of the earring is 14k and a mark I cannot identify. No luck finding the clam shell mark neither. These are an estate find. IMG_1918.jpeg

I'm seeing more of a horseshoe mark. No clue whose it is; these are too new for me.

Thank you! I also see a horseshoe with something inside. Most of the jewelry obtained along with these were from the late 70's and early 80's. I think this is what's throwing me off. It seems impossible to figure out, lol! I'm also trying to decide if these are golden sea pearls or ones that have turned from the box they were in. Looks like a trip to the local jeweler is in store if I can't figure it out. Have a great day!

Those definitely aren't bait for the melting pot; someone double-hallmarked them and those pearls are too nice. The pearl color looks uniform, so odds are they started out that color.

Thank you for responding. I was able to get an opinion from a jeweler today. They suggested the little mark might be another clam shell. But couldn't give any helpful info. So we have two hallmarks and gold quality on each one. They tried to suggest for me to scrap them. Lol, not so fast!

Open oyster shell, I'd have said. Which makes more sense.
