I have had this pitcher for many years. Purchased it in Canada. I have tried searching for info, but having found nothing I gave up.. now this past weekend I was visiting a family member and she had a small piece with the same eagle blob which got me thinking about the pitcher. The 2nd pic of the gilt blob is the back or interior. The smaller piece doesn't show any sign the blob ever had any gilt. The pitcher base shows signs of long wear whereas the smaller piece show little. Same maker? American?
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

An eagle is the symbol of St. John the Evangelist. There might be some connection there. (Luke is the patron of glass makers.)

The piece looks mid century modern (MCM) to me.

The ice lip on the spout says newer. No idea who.

Is it an eagle or a phoenix? The neck looks quite long and thin to be an eagle.

This may help. The proper term for the blob is "Prunt"

I figured 20th century, but a little earlier in the century. However, mcm is fine too. Thank you.

I first thought swan. When I initially searched for the pitcher I cam across early American glass with the eagles very much in the vein of the one on the pitcher along with the stars surrounding the upper portion. I will still see if phoenix might bring something up.. Thank you.

Thank you. I knew there was a term for the "blob" and, I had found it when I first researched but couldn't remember it. Last night before posting I decided to see if I could find it and when I googled round glass attached to larger vessel "blob" popped up. I figured someone would know and blob was a good start. Thanks for supplying the right terminology. I appreciate it.

Do you mean newer as in the last decade or quarter century? I am just curious. I've had it longer than 20 years having bought it either 1993 or 1994. More likely '94 because I purchased my house in Canada in 95 and already had the pitcher.

There is a connection between Chalet Glass (Canada) and Don Shepherd. Don Shepherd worked for Blenko.

I have no idea what the connection is, but there is one.

With your items coming from Canada...it makes me go hmmmmmmm (Now, it may mean absolutely nothing and merely coincidental)

    Hi,
Blenko made all the glass for Williamsburg VA from 1936 to 1966 since then it has been made by Royal Leerdam (a Dutch company). It looks like it might have been made for Williamsburg. I'll check some of my catalogues.

Thank you all for the Blenko lead. I searched several methods and found nothing similar to the pitcher. Mind you I could have simply not used the right terminology. I was hoping it might be for Williamsburg. Will keep searching.

Thank you. I looked on ebay and etsy plus Ruby Lane and found nothing for Williamsburg, eagle and Blenko.
