Trying to price early 1900s Sofa Set & Oak Desk

Hello, I just dug out my old storage unit and I'm not really sure how to price these items. The condition on them is less than ideal but I'm sure they would be of interest to someone, perhaps a restorer.

Any insight would be appreciated!

I'm planning to list them on Craigslist locally here in Vancouver CA, but perhaps they warrant a broader audience and I should list them on eBay as well?

I went through Google and Pinterest pretty deeply and couldn't find anything really similar.

$40 for the desk
$95 for the velvet

Brown furniture is not hot at the moment.
The velvet belongs in a cheap Nevada whorehouse.

IMHO...

 

NONE of those are cheap.

 

I would get zero interest in the upholstered goods here in my semi-rural Midwest location. Doubt anyone would even want them curb-side for free. You might do better out in CA. The desk is not old enough to be antique so is just used furniture. $40.00 sounds about right to me. I could probably buy it for a bit less at auction or the thrift stores here.

Yeah, the cost to reupholster the couch much over weighs any as-is value.
I see it ALL the time. I work with a company who prices furniture with less than desirable fabric and would take a pro to reupholster on the higher end hoping a designer will come in and buy it.
Ive never seen it happen.

It usually ends up selling for $10 or $12 at auction.


If you sand the desk down and paint it I could see it bringing around $200.
As is, maybe around $30
