Late 19th? Looking for opinions on age ...thanks for looking!

About 6.2 inches in diameter. Height is 1.25 inches from base to top of the rim.

Also, is the design on the sides a rabbit's foot?

it looks a little heavily potted to me to be 19thc IMO ..nice paintwork and design though, guessing 1980's, but that's just a WAG. Looks like high quality giftware.

Thanks blooey, in hand it is a bit more delicate than the photos suggest. Certainly not eggshell but not as fat as it appears.

Just for clarity....does WAG translate into Wild Ass Guess?
As for the rabbit's foot, I am sorry, but have no idea.

In my opinion, that is extreme wishful thinking! Paste and construction look wrong for those early dates.

Well that plate is 19thc, maybe not edo period either but possibly believable as Meiji. It has very little in common with the op's plate however!

I do think mine is newer than Silver Wolf's - maybe as new as 80's as blooey postulated - I'm just not positive though - I still think it could be as old as late Meiji - don't think it makes a huge difference value wise, it pretty much is what it is.
