Earrings

I've had some Jewelry handed down to me, these earrings included. My mam doesn't know any history behind them or remembers how long they've been in the family.
I guess I'm just looking to see if anyone knows much about this type of thing.
I've been told they are white gold but age is unknown.
For all I know they could be some Argos tat, but I get the feeling there is a history there.

Any markings? A photo of the backs would be helpful. And check the posts for markings as well. I have no idea WHY, but many manufacturers put the metal content markings on the posts, even when there is a larger area on the item itself............................

 

Yes, there's a stamp on the back AJF925.

 

The stamp is so small. I couldn't ready it without zooming in on the picture lol

 

Sterling silver for sure. This style was popular in the 50s-60s,I think.

 

Thank you how do you identify it's silver? I know it's something to do with the stamp but which part? Or is it all of it?

Trying to broaden my knowledge, but it's a lot harder than I anticipated.
