Help I/D this pin

Hello again everyone found this screw back pin for 25 cents yesterday and trying to figure out what mascott or team it would be from has a I on the jersey it tested for 14k gold but has no markings unless it might have been faded away .thanks in advance for any info.

I'd agree...circa the 1960's..likely.

 

It does look like the Iowa Hawkeyes logos from the 1950s-1960s as komokwa noted.

One thing that is different is there don't seem to be any articulated feathers on the wings of the bird on the small pin. Back in those days, perhaps sports logos were not as strictly regulated as they are now?

By the way, their mascot is named Herky. I live within a couple of hours of University of Iowa and they talk about them on the news all the time.
