I really meant that *I* would never want to damage fabric with a clip.
It's the reason I rarely wear a pin or brooch.

 

I wouldn't wear one of these on anything too delicate, but even the singles look cool on a jean jacket.

 

Yes, they're dress clips; I had 2 clips from the 30s that are similar in color, clipback design and general style. Some refer to the color mix as 'fruit salad', although that originally referred to a specific type of glass.
Anyway, here are the ones I had; they're from the same period (sorry, the 2nd one isn't too clear. Bad camera that day)
