This is a beautiful light blue vase that has been in my family for as long as I can remember. It has a square base that is 3.5". It is 10" tall, and at it's widest point at the top is 5.25" in diameter. On the base there is an inscription P 107. Does anyone know anything about this family treasure? Thanks in advance.

In looking at the enlargement of the floral detail, I can see that this is a transfer print and not hand painted. I doubt this is terribly old. Definitely 20th century and likely post-WWII. Someone more knowledgeable than myself should be able to give you an idea of origin.

I also get a post WWII vibe, could be Europe, but I have a feeling it was MIJ. Likely had a paper label identifying importer and country of origin when it was first sold.

I'd like to see a picture of the base, not just the little corner with the P107.

It's Princeton China, I'm pretty sure.

Good for you, Janet, you nailed! Here is the same shape Princeton vase marked "P 107" on the bottom like this one. The seller dated it the 1940s. Seems Princeton China is a Japanese company. I would have dated it later than the 1940s?

What? Princeton China was a Trenton, N.J., company.

Gee, I was way off on that. When I was searching around, one of the pages with Princeton China said Japanese. At the time I was a bit surprised for with a name like Princeton I had thought New Jersey. Welllll, I didn't pay any attention to what was said about its location after that resulting in just plopping down Japan in that reply. My apologies.

I'm not so sure I would trust that Etsy attribution. I can't find any documentation that Princeton China used that numbering system. Also Lehner does not list a Princeton China operating in Trenton. Something's not right.
