    Hello, i found this ceramic painting and it has the name DZ at the bottom, does it have any value?

    I don't recognize the artist's initials of DZ. I like it and yes, I am sure it has some value.

    Oh, I see it is a ceramic piece that is painted on a board of some sort?

    Doesn't it resemble mid century chalkware?

    No it is not painted on a board.

    It is a ceramic tile, meant to be hung.

    It's not on a board. About 12-14" tall, isn't it? Had three of them in the shop several years ago (different poses on each one). Think they sold for around $30 each.

    The entire piece is ceramic, no board, no chalkware. As you can see, the back is plain terracotta.

    It's all one piece, Flipper. It's done using a press mold.

    Oh, I see now. I thought that was ripped brown paper!
