We are running out of room for glass. I am hoping to sell a bunch of our Chalet Glass this year to make room for more Czech Glass. With that said, I have my eye on a couple of pieces of Czech I would like to add to her collection.

 

Bought a pair of vintage Bose 601 series ii speakers from the thrift store , they have been neglected and need some work, but will sound great ,after I fix them . $20.00 for the pair , and $60 to repair the foams , fingers crossed lol . they're selling a few on ebay for $300 to $400 each $800 a pair and 2 almost 3 hundred to ship p.s. i put the jbl in for now lol

 

My 301's in the basement also need new foams....even though they were always treated with respect.....over time the foams just degrade.
The 601's always were a kick ass pair of speakers.....& for $20....I'd buy those all day....nice find !!

that is why they sell replacement foams lol 3 out of 4 were bad i ordered 4 ,replace them all . even broken they sounded great , my favorite is the 901 (still in search of )

 

I like the 901 design ....but for my ear the 601 sounded better....

 

My jeans only make noise when I put them on, walk in them and take them off.
And when in the dryer...if I dry them that way...

 

I have four 901s Series II that I need to re-foam. Doubt I will ever get to it in my lifetime. They have nice walnut cabinets and are in good condition. Tried to sell them for $250.00 with the equalizer and got no takers. I thought this realistic given that the equalizer is worth $100.00 or more on its own. I could probably get this if I want to ship them but I really don't want to mess with packing and shipping.

 

i love anything Bose , it all sounds awesome.

foam repair kits are cheap and easy fix, just glue right over old if you want . i personalty clean them up , but i'm an elect . tech .

I've got a pair of Bose 800 PA speakers with equalizer. Nice speakers, sound good, but are much heavier than modern PA speakers. Unfortunately, weight matters when setting up for a gig......
