    The clasp is Chinese silver.
The main piece appears to be bone.

Could we see a picture of the necklace laid out.
Trying to determine if it is older or restrung.

Agree, Chinese silver clasp and hand carved bone pendant. The beads are bone, jasper, and azurite or similar looking blue stone, possibly dyed. The grey stones look like hematite. The black ones could be glass or onyx.

Thank you! Can you tell whether it is older or new? Any thoughts on a listing price? I cant find much comparable...

Or general value? I see a wide range of pricing on these types of necklaces but again, can't find a really close match.

The clasp to me is older as in 1970s - 80s. Don't know if they are still using this type of silver clasp. Maybe one of the other joolies will know.

Is it strung on plastic? or thread?

The beads and bone piece appear more recent than the 1980s.
I think this is someone's beading project. Nicely done.

Wait for other comments, as this is just my opinion.

Looks like thread- There are little knots that appear to be thread tying the beads to the clasp and the pendant beads on - Overall It is tightly strung and hard to "bend" between the beads to see material.

They are, but the recent ones are marked 925 instead of 'silver'.

In Indonesia there are simillar beds called as "Manik-Manik Terakota Majapahit" from 12 century or before. They are made from Terracotta, Terracotta with Glazzure, Glass and metal. One example is here :

Mostly found only as beds under ground. And they are made as neclaces with new clasp and string.

Clasp may be 1930s even. I think someone put this together.

Okay - interesting - does anyone think it has any resale value ? Or it is more of an arts and crafts project lol... ?

That had crossed my mind as well. You may be right.

I'm sure there is someone who would find this wearable. It's nicely done.

I've got some brown (carnelian? Or glass?) beads that have a very similar or the same clasp. Mine is marked silver and China on the clasp. Not that it helps with the ID of this necklace but more that it is so totally different with pretty much the same clasp.
Sorry that sounds like the ramblings of someone who's had a glass of wine!.

Most likely carnelian, and yes, that sounds more like the kind of necklace I would expect with one of these clasps.
I understood it, which probably says something about my state of mind.:wacky::D
