Hi all! Hoping someone here can help me. I found this 'wobble' (or weeble-type) Santa that is quite cute and unique. I'm wondering if it is actually something special in the collector world, too, and not just to me. It is about a foot tall and the bottom is rounded, so it wobbles. It seems to be made of some sort of ceramic material and has that shiny, rather tacky (IMO) paint on it.

I took a picture of the Santa and the semi-spherical Santa.jpg Santa2.jpg bottom. There's a sticker with some sort of hand-written number and the 10.50 is where someone wrote the price. Thanks for your help!

    Welcome! :)
    Great photos!
I don't think he's old but wait for others.
Do I see breakage on the tree?

Roly Poly is the correct term. I don't think he is what I would call old, but sometimes that is just perspective. If it was made after I was born some 60 years ago, it's isn't all that old LOL. Seriously though, the style of the face, as well as the shiny paint is something more current, probably 1980's and after. I think the material is more paper mache with heavy paint then ceramic.

He was made some time in the last 20 years, probably in China.

Thanks, all! I think paper mache is definitely a more correct term. It doesn't look really well made, but more unique than anything. I guess I'll have to settle for its cuteness rather than value LOL Thanks, again. :)
