Hi all :) good to still see familiar names still here ;) so whilst on lockdown I decided to sort through my vast amounts of rocks I have collected whilst on family days out (in all pics I’m in the back, bent over with a bag in my hand haha!!) i came across this pottery. I’m sorry I don’t remember which beach. It’s quite heavy and thick. The weight of the full pot must have broken the scales!!:0 :) 5ED36F9F-01BD-46AD-BAD8-EC4427F028E6.jpeg FF41B1F9-2A8D-40BE-9DF9-BD4488347300.jpeg

I don't have a good answer but it looks very interesting! Must be a good story there. I went to a very old ceramic factory/museum in the midwest and they make ceramics in same old methods/molds and the surfaces looked a lot like this, mottled and pitted. Great stuff.

I wonder if it could be a shard of old sewer pipe? The color and texture seem right.

If I saw that here, I'd think it a Doulton stoneware pipe shard.

I think Lisa is in England. And I agree, looks like part of a sewer pipe.
