    For me this has a Germanic feel. Maybe swung out of a sugar bowl.

    pretty sure it's an illusive 'Piasa Bird' swung vase; some think most likely American (possibly Jefferson) due to the legend of the Piasa Bird, as well as the opalescent detailing, and some think maybe Sowerby tho' there is no proof known.

    the Piasa (pronounced pie-a-saw) Bird was named by the Illini tribe from the current area of Alton, Illinois.
