Identify style or anything about this Bronze masterpiece

    Im totally new to this forum, basically to the whole topic but my father asked me to help him and now I'm getting more and more passionate about it. Im already in other forums but nobody has an idea. I hope you guys have any hint.

    Is the ruler in inches or centimeters? Is the item heavy (weight in grams... or kilos;))

    Thanks for your fast reply! The ruler is in centimeter and the weight is around 2.7Kg

    Welcome Edero. That is an impressive vase. I agree with Japanese Art Deco.
    What is described as a monkey in the link say_it_slowly posted is actually a bat, an auspicious symbol. That is all I can say, I don't know the maker, sorry.
    Maybe @Mat recognizes it?:)
