Featured Chinese pottery mark (?)

Hello, Have had this small teapot lying around the house for quite sometime (believe it was my grandparents). Can anyone assist with the identifying the mark?

Really nice teapot, Trantor. It is Chinese Yixing or Zisha pottery.

How small is it? Very small pots were used to brew strong tea, to which hot water was added before drinking.

For Yixing afficionados one of the marks of a good Yixing teapot is that the top of the spout, opening in the pot, and the top of the handle line up. So you should be able to put a ruler over the top, touching spout, pot and handle.

I think your teapot is really nice.

 

Yes, it is a similar decoration. Different mark though, so different maker.
Trantor's one is nicer imo, and could pass the ruler test. I hope he can find the mark on Gotheborg, Yixing values depend on the maker.

 

Yes I noticed the mark was square and had seemingly different characters.
But, AJ has definitely put you on the right path.

 

Can you show a photo of the inside to see if it has handmade hatch marks? And look at the handle to see if there is a seam?
