OK, so my husband thinks this is a cigar cutter. But after researching them, I'm not so sure. Cigar cutters have a blade, and this doesn't. That thing in the middle pushes out. You place your fingers through the holes, and push with your thumb. But I can't see how it would cut. Any ideas??

It measures 3 1/2 in long and 2 1/2 in wide. Thanks!

Ok, now how about it's age?? I'm guessing turn of the century......

I'm so glad to have the help of this board! I'm glad I didn't post it on Etsy as a Cigar cutter. LOL I did a little research, and found several others that were identical, labeled as Cherry Pitters.

    Hi,
Instead of using that as a cherry pitter, have one around here some place. I use a soda bottle and a chopstick. Put the cherry on the lid of the bottle and push the seed with a chop stick and the seed goes right into the bottle.

Hmmm....these are labeled as 1930s, and seem newer than mine. I'm wondering if 1940s is accurate. I was thinking 1920s.....they seem a bit more primitive than this one. 192f3956eca32c7925ca97ba26cee1f1.jpg
