Hi, I am new to this forum. I have an old glass lamp that belonged to my father. I do not want to sell it but would like to know more about it. Any info would be appreciated. You can see photos of this lamp on my profile page under gallery, I think. I'm sorry but I didn't know how to post the pics. Files too large. But they are on my profile but don't know what you guys can get to. Just a shot in the dark. Thanks everyone.

Hi and welcome! I took the liberty of copying your photos over to here but I've got no idea why it wouldn't let you put them here to start with. upload_2016-12-15_15-40-42.png

Bullet or torpedo lamp might be a good keyword to find something similar.

I've seen these sold as phallic lamps.

I wish I had gotten the "story" of it before my Dad had passed. It was probably his mother's. He always knew where things came from. I had a 1890's bed that I just loved but it had gotten so bad that I couldn't keep it. It was my Dad's as a kid and his mother got it second hand from a friend.

It's got a classic design that I think would go well with retro or modern décor. I like it.
